From the beginning of their career at Compass Group, all associates learn about the different dimensions of diversity in order to raise awareness and to help foster a positive work environment.

Outstanding teams and units are recognized as sector winners for their passion for diversity and inclusion, community service and professional development, and are then eligible to compete for recognition at the national level.
Working with Resource Network (the recruitment department of Compass Group USA), our diversity and inclusion team has created a multipronged approach to recruitment and attracts candidates with varied experiences, skills and backgrounds.
Our long-standing program with Johnson & Wales—A Partnership for Scholarship—connects students, graduates and alumni to Compass Group opportunities. Compass Group also has solid relationships with historically black colleges.
Throughout the year, Compass Group attends events organized by minority professional and industry organizations, including BCA (formerly Black Culinary Alliance), Multicultural Foodservice and Hospitality Alliance and the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality.
